how we work together
It's more than just the wedding day.
There’s a lot of love that goes into planning the first day of your marriage, so we photograph everything from the day’s details, to hugs and laughter of family and friends that have come from afar to see you! But wedding photography with Trailing Twine is more than just one day. Here’s a picture of your journey with Trailing Twine Photography.

After sending your wedding details and confirming if anyone in our team is available for your date, Ling will get in touch with you to schedule an in person consultation or online meeting via Zoom. We want to be on the same page with understanding our documentary approach and the editing style. This meeting is normally with Ling, so that she can get a better idea of which team members are the best fit for your day!
Book Trailing Twine!
Finalize your photography decision by creating your own collection in the booking proposal, which contains the contract and invoice for the $2000 to reserve your day with us! After booking, you’ll get access to the Client Portal, questionnaires, and we’ll send you some fun things as well.
Get to know each other
The we get to know you, the better we can capture your personalities and fun moments. Get to know eachother through an engagement session, emails, or various phone calls and conversations throughout the wedding planning process. You’ll also have important phone or in-person conversations with your lead photographer about your wedding timeline several times before the big day! The assistant photographer also gets filled in with all the info needed to capture your wedding story.
Creating memories!
We all get ready for the wedding day! Photographers check in with each other as well as the bride & groom, to see how we’re doing! We make sure that the photography team members are all ready to go for a full day of capturing thousands of images. We love to scout at a distance with a telephoto or zoom lens for candid moments between your close friends & family members, and photograph groups of guests laughing, hanging out, and having fun!
Get your photos!
Within 2 to 3 weeks after the wedding, you’ll get 1000+ image files, which are retouched, reviewed, and fully prepped. You get your images in an online gallery (with no expiration date), and hi-res images on a wine cork USB drive. It all gets packaged up in a really awesome, rustic, wooden keepsake box with our favorite photo. The package is hand delivered, or you can receive it if you schedule an image viewing party with Ling!
Albums and art for homes
Whether you decide you’d like to display your wedding photos in an heirloom album, small photobook, or amazing wall art displays, we’ve got your back! Ling gets started on designing album spreads based on the favorite images, or wall art collections based on a virtual wall design of your home. View your wall art or wedding albums in a virtual mock-up! If there’s anything else you need, let Ling know.
Life beyond weddings
A marriage isn’t all about the wedding, but rather the journey of two souls living life abundantly. Stay in touch with Trailing Twine Photography to get updates on opportunities for model calls for photography projects, or schedule photo sessions for families and more. Trailing Twine Photography does all kinds of photo sessions for past clients and their families. We also occasionally need “models” for specific photo shoots and are open for collaboration and barter.
