Urban Industrial Engagement Session | Worcester, Massachusetts | Lydia & Joe

Check out Lydia and Joe's sneak peeks of their engagement session in Worcester, Massachusetts! We went for an industrial, rustic urban look. Abandoned brick buildings, and the eclectic colors of the city.

Sneak Peeks: Lydia & Joe’s Industrial Engagement Session

A Quickie on How They First Met

In an otherwise boring, abandoned area of buildings in this part of Worcester on Franklin Street, the images of this urban landscape was jazzed up by the appearances of a dashing couple, Lydia and Joe! Lydia and Joe first got to know eachother online at okcupid.com for about a month, and their love first sparked on their first date over platters of sushi in Westborough, Massachusetts. Now, five years later, and one little munchkin (who will be an experienced flower girl!), Lydia and Joe want to make it official. Their wedding will be at the Golden Lamb Buttery, a rustic farm venue in Brooklyn, Connecticut, and I CAN’T WAIT!!! You can view my images of a past wedding at the Golden Lamb Buttery here

How They Found Their Wedding Photographer (me!)

Lydia first found me on Weddingwire.com, and then we re-connected again through Bridalpix.com. On a wintry, slushy evening, we first met up at Panera. I’m so glad I met with them (and little girlie Avery), so that we really could get a better idea of the photography needs for the wedding day. I don’t have my own studio/meeting place yet, so we met at Panera Bread. Golly I love their Frontega Chicken Panini! If Panera was my neighbor I would live there everyday, and make it a home for all of my monstrous wedding sample albums…

Engagement Session: Where and Why in Worcester?

To get familiar with my camera and I, we met near the Worcester Fire Station and Pepe’s restaurant area, where there are some great patterns, textures for some terrific backgrounds to images. Although Lydia, Joe, and I would rather spend time at a middle-of-nowhere farm or park with waterfalls, we chose this area for the engagement session so that there would be a variety of images that they could keep forever. On the contrary, their wedding photos will also be kick-butt, being at the rustic barn venue.

Lydia and Joe, and friends, hope you enjoyed these sneak peeks while I prep some of the other image files for your USB drive. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding…to see Lydia walk down that aisle, and little Avery dancing away with Joe! Stay tuned to my blog for sneak peeks and updates!
