North Stonington, CT Wedding Venue: Jonathan Edwards Winery

Three days ago I photographed Amy and Rex's wedding at Jonathan Edwards Winery, a vineyard in North Stonington, CT. There were so many images, but here are a few highlights that I picked out to share with you!

Some Favorites from Amy & Rex’s Wedding!

Wow. Words can’t even fully describe how incredible Amy & Rex’s day was at Jonathan Edwards Winery on this warm July day. I’ll try my best with communicating the awesomeness in this blog…luckily, I have photos as proof! The day flew by so fast. It was filled with love from friends and family, laughing, crying and everything in between.

Here is a shot of Amy’s wedding dress, another BHLDN dress! SO MANY of my clients love this neat brand of Anthropologie, and I can’t get enough of how beautiful, light and graceful the dress is. This dress photo was taken in the Barrel Room, using some twine that I carry in my bag. These photos of the girls helping Amy with her dress was taken in the new bridal suite upstairs. I love how bright it is up there!

Amy also first saw her dad in the barrel room at the winery. I’m so glad I decided to have this moment here in the barrel room, because it was cool, smelled good, and was a nice quiet place to have a quick special moment with dad. Wait until you see Rex’s face in their private moment under a tree for their first look of each other before the ceremony.

Wedding Party Portraits at Jonathan Edwards Winery

Outdoor Ceremony in the Vineyard

The layout of the vineyard is flat, with a big, grassy section that runs through the sections of grapes, that looks like an aisle. If you’re getting married at Jonathan Edwards Winery, know that the groom, Rex, actually constructed this ceremony arbor, and had a couple people put it together there at the ceremony spot. This will be taken apart after the ceremony, and live in their backyard in the future. I can totally envision flowery vines like wisteria, decorating this heavy-duty arbor.

These kids…just TOO CUTE to not share!

Jonathan Edwards Winery: Tented Reception

I love tented weddings like this, with a sperry tent. If you want to have a wedding at this venue, there will be a large sperry tent there to dance around to music of The Sultans! Amy and Rex had The Sultans of Swing thesultans.com make their party absolutely mind-blowing. I say that, because seeing the interaction between the singers of the band, intermingling and singing with guests was out-of-this-world.

I’m sure that The Sultans inspired this young man in music, who was closely watching and groovin’ with the musicians near the stage! Does anyone remember what song she was singing?! Was it a song from Dirty Dancing?

Amy and Rex, I can’t wait to have a glass of wine with you guys and run through all your wedding images for your album! Tell me, do you love these sneak peeks?!?!
