Let’s just say I will REALLY miss Oregon after I move. I need to discover more amazing and picturesque farms and ranches in New England! So anyway…months ago I wanted to practice with low light photography with a beautiful couple at a rustic country location. Matt and Emily Flood were my subjects–my awesome patient models! Emily Flood is also the amazing lady who owns Simply Elegant Wedding and Event Rentals based in Eugene, Oregon. I also had discovered a working hazelnut/filbert farm located 1 hour south of me, called Dorris Ranch, in Springfield, Oregon.
Believe it or not, the groundskeeper told me that Dorris Ranch is the oldest working filbert/hazelnut ranch in America!
And they have this really cool, VERY rustic old barn. It’s not very big, but was a nice place to warm up near the wood stove, too.
