Favorite Mom Photos of 2016 Wedding Season!
Seeing as it’s Mother’s Day coming up, I wanted to gather together my favorite images of MOMS at last year’s wedding season! As a wedding photojournalist, I love watching how my clients interact with their moms and photographing those little things that happen throughout the day–like, mom helping with the wedding dress or boutonniere, and even that brief look of awe at their corsage you had made for her. As the 2017 wedding season picks up, I think back on these moments from last year’s weddings that I’ll never forget!
Totally in love with black and white images, especially of these two ladies! Three generations in the frame, with grandma showing off her corsage handmade by the bride. Love this winter wedding at Heritage Hotel!
And then I saw grandma lean over for a kiss. The groom’s grandma and mom is in this candid shot too! Then when came time for family formals, you can’t resist some laughter sometimes! This was a spring picnic wedding at Farmington Club.
Love these moments with the daughters and mothers here at this evening country wedding at Spencer Country Inn.
A couple candids of the beautiful bride getting ready for their ceremony on the rocks in Maine! We owe thanks to all the moms who have been their for their daughters, helping with the wedding dress!
I’ll never forget when Maya’s mom read the modern fable of two dinosaurs, “A Lovely Love Story”. That was so unique and I loved this way of mom blessing the newlyweds! This wedding was at Tyrone Farms in Pomfret, CT.
This beautiful bride had their son pull the wagon with his sister in it! This was such a fun idea and a great day at Elizabeth Park to make their family & marriage official!
Ah, I can’t get over how much I love the pop of colors in the LaJolieFleur flowers, and the balloon! Thanks to the mom for walking with the kids to the Old Stone Church ceremony site and being such a comfort and joy to the little ones!
This is my top favorite ceremony photo of 2016!!!!!! Love this image of mom and daughter looking at each other at the Hill-Stead Museum wedding.
“Mothers and their children are in a category all their own. There’s no bond so strong in the entire world. No love so instantaneous and forgiving.”―Gail Tsukiyama, Dreaming Water
It was so neat to see both mom and dad leading this beautiful bride down the aisle at this Jewish wedding ceremony at Club Getaway, in Kent, CT. Peace and excitement all at the same time!
I like to encourage hugs between mom and daughter, especially if they love eachother so much like Samantha and her mom!
Here is another mother-son dance that I had tears almost welling up, and I know I wasn’t the only one. This was a sweet dance. Love!
The well-known Green Cleaning Coach (mom) and her two daughters snuggling on this chilly fall day. Later I found out they were laughing because of some inside joke…nevertheless, I love this candid moment!
There are so many dances with grooms and moms that were totally amazing to watch and photograph. This one at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills in particular stands out to me, because it was such a special moment especially for mom.
