Engagement Photography Session with the Horse in Granby, CT

Jon loves Rebecka, but he knows full well that Rebecka’s second love is her horse, Declan. We couldn’t resist doing part of their engagement session with Declan, who is also very photogenic! We walked down the road to Christensen’s Pond, in Granby, CT, which was surrounded by old meadow. The sun was still harsh and high in the sky but from photographing Becky, Jon, and Declan at certain angles, it made for superb shots!

These black and white images above make me think of an old photograph I have of my great-grand-uncle Charles standing with his beautiful horse. I think that black and white images of horses conveys a sense of grandeur and simplicity…that’s the best as I can describe.

You can’t resist focusing in on the horse’s lover, who is also beautiful herself!
